Since the beginning, Team Match judges have always been as kind and gracious as they are talented dancers. It’s no wonder why our young people look up to them.

Hundreds of children, families, and educators come together for a powerful shared experience of dance and community, and the fall 2019 Team Match was no exception.

In 2017 our students showcased their Dancing Classrooms skills at Tots Rock, a safe, all-inclusive dance party for Windom Neighborhood families. Heart of Dance is dedicated to collaborating with local neighborhood organizations to share the joy of partner dance with everyone, and that’s why we love participating in community events like this and Open Streets Minneapolis.

Over the years, our Teaching Artists have become an integral part of school communities across Minnesota. Students look forward to seeing them every week, like these happy students from Benjamin E. Mays IB World School in St. Paul with Senior Teaching Artist Heather Johnson in 2016.

In 2020 our classrooms and our events looked very different, as they did across the globe. Hundreds joined us for a Dancing with Heart virtual fundraising event that banded us all together over the never-ending impact of partner dance.
